CATI at home
Like so many organisations in 2020, Wallis had a problem. The COVID-19 pandemic forced everyone to work from home. This was fine for all our consultants, but what about our call centre?
Within a week, Wallis had transitioned all our interviewers to working from their safe, convenient and comfortable homes.
Computer Automated Telephone Interviewing (CATI) is an important data capture tool for social research. It enables the gathering of opinions from a broader and more diverse population than that available through online panels.
Our interviewers are the crucial element to the success of our CATI data capture. To ensure the highest quality information is captured Wallis interviewers are:
trained to the ISO 20252 standard,
routinely monitored and assessed,
receive regular ongoing coaching and
receive 6 monthly reviews
Conducting CATI at home is no different to having our interviewers in a call centre. We use the latest tools for communication, remote monitoring remains the same, briefings and trainings have moved online and management of performance is conducted online.
Fully remote opportunity
For many of our interviewers, the move to CATI at home has allowed them to relocate from the CBD to regional towns and even interstate, whilst earning an income in a convenient, flexible and safe environment.
“What I enjoy about working from home is being more productive at my own workspace and there's no need for a long commute so I feel more refreshed and energised.”
