Australian Children of the Digital Age (ACODA)
The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child
The Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child has commissioned Wallis Social Research to conduct surveys with 3,000 families across Australia with children from six months to six years of age. This study aims to gain insights into the usage of digital technologies by young children and explore the impact of technology use.
The results of the evaluation will provide crucial evidence of potential opportunities and problems presented by digital technologies and inform recommendations for policy and practice concerned with the wellbeing of young children.
This ongoing research will contact participants each year for four years by telephone or email to participate in a series of annual surveys.
We are re-opening the ACODA survey to a small group of families in April-June 2025. We are looking for families with children aged six months to six years old, who live in rural and remote Australia, and/or identify as a low-SES household, and/or identify as a First Nations family. This survey will be open from 29 April 2025 to 29 June 2025.
How long will the survey take?
This online survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
