CLOSED: Groom By-Election Research

Australian Electoral Commission (AEC)

The resignation of the member for Groom, John McVeigh, has necessitated a by-election in the Groom electorate.

Wallis Market and Social Research (Wallis) is conducting a survey on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). The survey is being used to understand voters’ experiences of voting in the Groom by-election. The results of the survey help the AEC ensure it is managing elections to a high standard.

Some residents of the Groom electorate have been selected randomly to participate in this survey. Those who have been selected may receive a text with a link to complete the survey online. If a response has not been received, an interviewer from Wallis Market & Social Research may contact the resident to complete the survey over the phone.

This study will run from 30th November 2020 to 4th December 2020. To complete the survey, you have a few options:

• Complete the survey over the phone (an interviewer from Wallis will contact you);
• Complete the survey online (via the link sent by SMS, or a link emailed to you by the Wallis interviewer).

If you have any questions about the survey, contact Wallis on 1800 113 444 quoting the ID number in the SMS and the project number 4802.
