PEEP Personal Road Transport Safety Survey

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

Wallis is conducting the Personal Road Transport Safety Survey on behalf of the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) about road safety when using your personal transportation. The Public Education and Evaluation Program (PEEP) surveys Victorians about how the TAC communicates important messages with Victorians and road safety generally. If you received an email about this survey, your ID will be a six-digit number starting with 7, 8, or 9, and the project number is 5075D. To participate, click the button above and enter the ID from your email when prompted. Alternatively, you can use the direct link in the email to access the survey directly.

When is the survey being conducted?

The survey will be open from 8 January to 2 February 2025.

Who can I contact if I have any questions?

If you have any queries, or would like to make an appointment, please call 1800 113 444. If leaving a message, please leave information for us to return your call. You can also contact us at TAC_PEEP@wallisgroup.com.au

Why should I take part?

Your answers to the survey will help make Victorian roads safer and it will only take 15 minutes on average, however some people take more and some less time to complete the survey.

Eligible participants who complete the survey will have the opportunity to be entered in a draw for a prize of $1,000. Winners will be notified by the contact details they enter into the survey should they choose to enter.

How confidential is the survey?

The survey is confidential – your answers will be separated from personally identifying information when the data is analysed. While we have contact details in order to reach you, we analyse everyone’s answers together without contact information attached. The aim of this survey is to understand Victorian’s views and experiences, rather than the view and experiences of any particular individual. The primary purpose for which we collect, hold, and use your personal information is to conduct research. We may also collect, hold, and use your personal information in order to respond to your enquiries. We report the results of our research without identifying any individual (unless that individual expressly consents). Wallis works within the Australian Privacy Act which means that all personal information that we collect and store is protected. If you require any further information about how we manage your personal information, you can view the Wallis Privacy Policy.

Where did you get my details from?

In most cases contact details have been provided by VicRoads, although some fixed-line numbers have also been randomly selected to ensure that all Victorians have the opportunity to participate. The TAC has access to the VicRoads database of all registered and licenced drivers and riders for the purposes of improving road safety in Victoria. Your name has been chosen randomly from that database and only the details that are necessary to make contact with you have been supplied to Wallis. The VicRoads privacy policy can be viewed on their website by opening the ‘Protecting your privacy brochure’ at the bottom of this web page:.

Prize draw

One prize will be randomly drawn from those eligible participants who complete the survey and opt to enter the prize draw. The prize will be worth $1000 – an EFT or eGiftCard, as preferred by the winner. This prize draw will be drawn on 24 February 2025. For details, please see the prize draw T&Cs here.
