CLOSED: Australia Awards Global Tracer Facility
The Australia Awards is a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) initiative that offers the next generation of global leaders the opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Recipients are able to return to their home country with novel ideas and knowledge in order to make significant contributions to living standards and economic growth.
There is considerable merit from evaluating the way in which the Australia Awards have assisted alumni, their home countries and Australia. Wallis is working with ACER, on behalf of the DFAT to conduct annual surveys with alumni focusing on their pathways after graduation, the contributions made to sustainable development in their home countries and the diplomacy benefits Australia has received as a result of the initiative. The purpose being to build a better understanding of the outcomes of alumni who have received Australian Government development scholarships.
Wallis has spoken to alumni from all across the globe, including regions like Australasia, the Caribbean, East Asia, Latin America as well as North Africa, the Middle East and many others regions.
