Student Survey for VET Students in WA 2024

The Government of Western Australia Department of Training and Workforce Development has commissioned Wallis Social Research to conduct their annual student survey for 2024.

The survey will provide the Department, TAFEs and training providers with useful information about the personal experiences of students, which will be used to evaluate, monitor and improve the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in WA.

When is the survey being conducted?

Data collection occurs between September and November each year.

How long will the survey take?

The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.

How do I take part?

To be eligible for the survey you must be currently or were previously enrolled at a TAFE or private training provider in WA during 2024.

If you are eligible you would have received an invitation to complete the survey. You can complete the survey online, on paper, or over the phone.

Online: follow the link sent to you vie SMS or email

Paper: complete the paper questionnaire provided to you by your TAFE or training provider and mail it back to Wallis using the following reply paid address (no stamp needed): Wallis Consulting Group, Reply Paid 92126, Camberwell VIC 3124

Phone: if you would like to complete the survey over the phone you can make an appointment by calling 1800 WALLIS.

When contacting Wallis you will need one of the following:

  • Your Survey ID

  • Your Student ID

  • Your name and the name of your TAFE or private training provider

All research is conducted in accordance with the Australian Data and Insights Association (ADIA) Code of Professional Behaviour and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This means you are guaranteed complete anonymity when completing the survey and all of your personal details will be kept strictly confidential.
