How do you meet your skills needs? – A survey of Australian employers

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) and Wallis Social Research (Wallis) are conducting a survey on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to find out how employers meet their skill needs, particularly through their interaction with the education and training system. The survey has been conducted every two years since 1995, with the exception of 2003.
Over the years, the findings and recommendations from this project have influenced education policy and practice, particularly in the area of how businesses employ and train their staff. When is the survey being conducted?
If you have received a letter about this survey, Wallis may be in contact with you by phone some time between 18 February and 23 June 2025.
How long will the survey take?
The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. Your responses are completely confidential.
How do I take part?
To complete the survey, you have a few options:
Complete the survey online by entering in the unique link or scanning the QR code provided on your letter;
Complete the hardcopy survey you received with your letter and send back to Wallis using the reply paid envelope;
Complete the survey over the phone (an interviewer from Wallis will contact you).
