Wallis & COTA on: Energy Transition
The transition to sustainable energy is one of the defining challenges of our time, and understanding consumer attitudes is crucial to ensuring that no one is left behind. Last year, COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria engaged Wallis Social Research to explore how older consumers perceive and adapt to changes in household energy use. Through a series of focus groups, we uncovered key drivers and barriers affecting this demographic, shedding light on their concerns, motivations, and decision-making processes.
This project leveraged our expertise in qualitative social research, allowing us to delve deep into the lived experiences of older Australians. By capturing their perspectives, we provided valuable insights that can help shape policies and programs designed to support a smoother transition to sustainable energy solutions.
Funded by Ausnet, this research has now been published in a comprehensive report, offering both a summary and in-depth findings based on the data gathered by Wallis.
