Wallis has been working with SkillsIQ since 2017 on a longitudinal study which focuses on the outcomes for students who complete a qualification in Commercial Cookery or Aged Care.

This research is integral to ensuring that there is long term staff retention in the areas of Commercial Cookery and Aged Care, which has long been an issue in the customer facing sector.

The aim of the current research has been to investigate the outcomes for students from their training, specifically in regards to the pathways that workers with qualifications in Commercial Cookery or Aged Care sectors take in the critical early stages of their career. This research will assist in informing workforce policy and strategy for increasing retention with these sectors and enhancing career outcomes.
